This was the cause of my splitting headache. Received an order through the internet for a baby boy sports theme with a budget of whopping $160. How can we resist it, rite.
So, the little rascals duo accepted the job on Wednesday although we knew it will be roller coaster cos delivery is on Sat. We have an order but no ingredients and customer requested for sports theme with blue color concept. Even more challenging than the Amazing Race – race to ensure the cake is baked to perfection and delivered today!
Wed n Thurs lunch hour – No luck.
Thurs evening – No luck
Friday evening – Die die we have to have the ingredients. Imagine our frantic search for the items. Our rush to Marina Square/ Suntec city / Parkway within 3 hrs.
Had late dinner at 12midnite. Yes, dinner not supper.
Then we started working. Perhaps, we were both brain dead after the mad rush shopping that we were losing “steam” – ideas didnt flow as natural as before.
Timecheck 3am – Finally we got it!
Timecheck – 4.30am – We completed the cake, took photos and I created the tag. Errr.. while editing, I fell asleep. Dont ask me how I managed to get through this.
Timecheck – 5am – Done! Got Nisa (not Aly, hor) to bed while I uploaded the pixs to flicker. Hee
Timecheck – 6am – Went to bed, finally!
Timecheck – 7.30am – Woke up, did housework (sweep, laundry, showered the little one, bugged the husband to shower cos we have another deadline – DELIVER the cake by 11 am.
Timecheck – 11.10am – Delivered to One Rochester. Awwwwww.. the decor is fabulous and to die for. Blue and white concept for 1st month party.
Anyway, see how and what this “cake” has done to me. Was it worth it? Definitely, I tell you. It was worth every seconds of my time and every penny.
