Sabbatical and all its meaning

Did I tell you that my boss and my boss-boss-boss will be going on sabbatical for a year. Yep, they are.

What does it mean for me, this newbie?

Confused, scared, puzzled, etc (all negative emotions that you can think of).

That’s how I am feeling right now.

 

Looking forward to my lunches now.

Was just blabbering yesterday how much I miss my friens terribly, rite.

That same evening, JJ sms-ed me that she will be offsite at her customer’s place in Orchard!! Yaay.. I know it’s not exactly very very near.. but it’s definitely nearer than before. So, we decided that we will do lunch with Miss Rich Luxury! It will be so fun… crazy three gals. June, please make sure your office is between the stretch of Somerset and Orchard okie when you ever decide to leave

Yaay!! No more lonely lunches now.

BTW, JJ and I were in the same, ya, SAME train on my way back home yesterday. Just in different cabin. I stepped out at Tanah Merah to catch a glimpse of her. I saw her in BLUE top. But miss cock-eye didnt see me.

I really miss her, miss her QAD, miss my QAD, miss my frens.

Am such an emo, rite?

Think its PMS. But I am late for 2 weeks already. Whooppsss.. !!!

Feeling Lost

Been feeling pretty down lately – not sure why; maybe aint adjusting well to the hard, cold environment in the largest employer in Singapore.

It made me miss all my friends in the old company and all the friendships I have forged back then. The environment is really different; it’s so warmth there. I guess it’s rare environment – wonder whether I will eventually feel this way 8 yrs down the road. Haha.. wonder whether I can hold on that long.

Things are different here. We got Big Huge Advertising dollars. Hey, we talking about mass marketing here. My daily job centres around product bundling, promotion, meetings with ad agencies (yep.. we using BBDO), talking to vendors like Google. I like.. I like it very much cos I think it’s aligned to my personal goals. But I still miss my warmth colleagues back in Sin Ming.

Been having lonely lunches these few days. Some colleagues were out for trainings, some had meetings on, etc. So, here I am sitting in my cube during lunch typing this post with my right hand feeding myself this rather good pineapple rice. Pathetic yah… but I guess I no longer co-dependent. It’s ok to sometimes have time alone. There are some days that you rather not talk to people, right. And if you know me well, I dont really like to travel out to eat (errr… except my last few months in the previous company).

BTW, such a coincident – my neighbour (ya, real neighbour whose door faces mine) is working in the same company; same division reporting to the same EVP. Kewl..

Ok.. I better run now.. I have a meeting with the bank that issues the High Notes (pple talking about now). Ha ha..
